Ghana in Hunt for New Coach After GFA Officially Announce Sacking of Milovan Rajevac

• The Ghana Football Association has officially announced the sacking of Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac
• Rajevac has been relief of his duties after just three months in charge of the Black Stars during his second spell
• The Serbian tactician led Ghana to it worst Africa Cup of Nations performance after failing to win a single game in Cameroon

The Ghana Football Association will be looking for a new Black Stars coach in the next few days after confirming the sacking of Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac.

Rajevac was sacked after leading Ghana to its worst ever Africa Cup of Nations performance, after the Black Stars failed to win a single game in Cameroon.

In a statement released on the FA website, the football association revealed the decision to let Milovan Rajevac leave was based on three reports from AFCON.

"This follows the receipt of the Technical Report from the Coach, the Medical Report and the Report from the Management Committee following Ghana’s early exit from the Africa Cup of Nations Cameroon 2021 tournament," part of the statement read.

"The Executive Council after considering the three reports and engagements with key stakeholders has decided to end its relationship with Coach Milovan Rajevac and also decided that the Black Stars Management Committee be reconstituted."

Ghana reappoint Milovan Rajevac

Milovan Rajevac was reappointed as Ghana coach in September 2021, after Charles Kwablan Akonnor was sacked for the team's poor start to the World Cup qualifiers.

The Serbian trainer led Ghana to the play-offs of the World Cup qualifiers after finishing top of group C, ahead of South Africa.

However, the Serbian failed to inspire the Black Stars to the kind of performances that led to his reappointment. Ghana failed miserably at AFCON 2021.
