"The Black Stars has collapsed. Let's go for a developmental plan. If we qualify for the World Cup fine, if we don't, we shouldn't worry. Let's build from the scratch and stop comparing previous teams with the current one, If we keep relying on the old team, then we have a long way to go," he said on Connect FM.

He was also part of the Black Satellites team that won the FIFA U20 World Cup in 2009 in Egypt. His winning penalty will be forever remembered in Ghana's football history.

Agyemang Badu played 78 times for the Black Stars, scoring 11 goals for the national team.
