Hertha Berlin star, Kevin Prince Boateng has missed wearing the colours of the national team of Ghana after last playing for the Black Stars eight years ago.

The 34-year-old midfielder's last game for Ghana was against the United States of America at the World Cup in Brazil 2014, and was sacked from camp later for indiscipline.

However, in a reply to a fan's tweet few days ago, the forward admitted to missing the Black Stars especially after watching them lose to Morocco at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Kevin Prince Boateng had earlier tweeted the Black Stars 'should have called me' after the game against Morocco and a fan responded with the tweet, we miss you though.

The former AC Milan and Barcelona attacker then replied, miss you too, confirming his desire to be close to the Black Stars.

The well-traveled star, who began his youth international career with Germany decided to switch nationality in 2009 to play for Ghana.

However, his love-hate relationship with Ghana came to a disappointing end after he reportedly disrespected coach Kwesi Appiah at the World Cup, leading to his sacking from camp.

The prodigal son has since not worn the jersey of the Black Stars despite proposals from fans to recall him into the team.

Kevin Prince Boateng says Ghana should have called him for AFCON

Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, German-born Ghanaian forward, Kevin Prince Boateng has reacted to the Black Stars' opening Group C AFCON defeat to Morocco on Monday afternoon.

The 34-year-old, who currently plies his trade in the German Bundesliga with Hertha Berlin believes he could have been a great addition to the team.

In a post on Twitter, Prince Boateng said he should have sent him to Cameroon and adds the Black Stars will recover for the Gabon clash.
