Ghana's senior national football team, the Black Stars went through their pre-AFCON formalities in a spectacular way, after taking some lovely pictures and videos for the tournament.

The playing body and the technical team had a group picture when they arrived in Yaoundé, to show their readiness for the tournament.

In a video posted on Twitter, the iconic Osibisa's song, we are going, was played in the background to inspire the boys.

The Black Stars have not won the Africa Cup of Nations since 1982, and there is pressure on the current team to end the West Africa giants 40-year drought.

The Black Stars begin their campaign with a game against Morocco on Monday. Ghana are in Group C and will next play Gabon before their final match against debutants Comoros Island.

Ghana has been to the finals three times since they last won the tournament, losing to Ivory Coast in 1992 and 2015, and to Egypt in 2010.

Captain Andre Ayew explains why Ghana has not won the tournament for 40-years

Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, Ghana captain, Andre Ayew, has revealed the reason behind the country's failure to win the Africa Cup of Nations since 1982.

According to the 32-year-old, the Black Stars have just been unlucky at the competition after losing the finals three times since last winning the tournament 40 years ago.

In the pre-match conference for the Group C opener against Morocco on Monday, January 10, the Black Stars forward hopes the team will be lucky in Cameroon.

Milovan Rajevac positive ahead of Morocco game
