Black Stars coach, Milovan Rajevac has presented a strong 28-man squad as his final team for the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon this month.

The Serbian trainer dropped AS Roma's teen sensation, Felix Afena-Gyan and France-based Clermont Foot midfielder Salis Abdul Samed from his provisional squad.

In the list released on the Ghana Football Association's website, injured Mohammed Kudus was also included and Arsenal star Thomas Partey also makes the team.

The local contingent, made up of goalkeeper Richard Attah, Dreams FC duo Philemon Baffuor and Abdul Fatawu Isshaku, Maxwell Abbey and David Abagna were also in the squad.

The Black Stars travel with all four goalkeepers named in the provisional squad, with as many as 14 players making their first ever appearance at Africa's elite competition.

The Black Stars have been in Qatar for the past two weeks preparing for the tournament which begins on Sunday, January 9, 2022.

Ghana is hoping to end it's 40-year wait for the AFCON trophy but would have to find their way out of Group C first.

The four times African champions have been drawn alongside North African giants Morocco, Gabon and debutants Comoros Island.

The West African powerhouse will begin their tournament with a Group C opener against Ethiopia on January 10, 2022.

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac explains Algeria friendly

Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, head coach of the Black Stars, Milovan Rajevac has disclosed that playing against Algeria in a friendly before AFCON 2021 will give the team an idea of what to expect against Morocco.
