Erling Haaland Reportedly Buys £6.2 Million Ten-Bedroom Cheshire Mansion as Manchester City Star Commits to Long-Term England Life

Land Registry documents confirm the Norwegian striker acquired the four-storey Cheshire estate last summer, complete with a lake, stables, and planning permission for a supercar garage. The purchase signals a firm commitment to life in England from the Premier League's highest-paid player.

Erling Haaland has reportedly taken a significant step toward permanently establishing himself in England, acquiring a £6.2 million (₦11.6 billion) ten-bedroom mansion in Cheshire’s so-called “Golden Triangle” — an affluent area long favoured by Premier League footballers. According to reports, the Norwegian striker made the purchase last summer, with Land Registry documents confirming the transaction.

The four-storey newbuild sits within extensive grounds that include a lake, an outdoor swimming pool, sprawling gardens, a coach house, stables, and a giant treehouse. The sheer scale of the property is such that Haaland, who earns a reported £525,000 per week, could theoretically host an entire football squad overnight — accommodating nine teammates in the main house and one more in the treehouse.

The move represents a clear shift from Haaland’s previous living arrangements, where the 25-year-old had been renting in Manchester city centre. His relocation to the Cheshire countryside, a region popular with high-profile Premier League players, is widely interpreted as a statement of long-term intent.

Haaland, who is in a relationship with Isabel Haugseng Johansen with whom he shares a young child, is said to have prioritised privacy and security in the purchase. A source told The Sun: “It’s got everything the modern day footballer could want and more, including historic walled gardens. It’s also very private though which means Erling can completely switch off from football when he is home.”

Beyond the main residence, the Manchester City striker has also secured planning permission to build a four-bay garage on the property. According to reports, the structure is intended to house his extensive supercar collection, which includes a rare £4 million Bugatti Tourbillon.

On the pitch, Haaland’s 2025-26 campaign has further cemented his status as the world’s foremost centre-forward. Across 47 appearances in all competitions, he has registered 35 goals and seven assists. In the Premier League alone, he leads the Golden Boot standings by a considerable margin with 24 goals in 32 matches.

Haaland has also continued to rewrite the history books in European competition, becoming the fastest player ever to reach 50 UEFA Champions League goals — a milestone he has backed up with eight goals across 10 European appearances this season.

The campaign has not been without turbulence, however. Haaland endured a month-long goal drought earlier in 2026, which prompted debate around fixture congestion and physical fatigue. Manager Pep Guardiola’s shift toward a more possession-based, controlled style of play also required the striker to adapt his game, dropping deeper and taking on additional defensive responsibilities.

Haaland responded emphatically, scoring a hat-trick against Liverpool to help Manchester City secure their place in the FA Cup semi-finals — a performance that effectively silenced the doubters. City remain in contention for Premier League honours as the season enters its final stretch.
