"Crystal Palace Football Club are delighted to confirm the contracts of Jordan Ayew, Nathaniel Clyne, James McArthur and James Tomkins have been extended until summer 2023," wrote the club.

Jordan Ayew joined Crystal Palace from Swansea City on a permanent deal in 2019, having excelled on loan the previous year.

He has since made 133 appearances for the club and club Chairman, Steve Parish, expressed excitement by the extension of the quartet's contract.

"It remains of pivotal importance to get the right balance of youth and experience in any Premier League squad, and I’m delighted that we’ve been able to ensure that these long-standing and experienced players in Jordan, Nathaniel, James and James remain with us for the upcoming campaign." he said.

Jordan Ayew is currently with the Black Stars team in Japan for the Kirin Cup tournament, which begins on Friday.

The Crystal Palace forward featured in Ghana's AFCON qualifier against Madagascar in Cape Coast last week.

Jordan Ayew scores in Crystal Palace's defeat to Everton

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana striker Jordan Ayew was on the scoresheet for Crystal Palace against relegation-threatened side Everton on Thursday evening.

The 30-year-old doubled Crystal Palace’s lead after he pounced on an error from Seamus Coleman for Everton inside the first half.

Patrick Vieira's side had opened the scoring courtesy of Jean Philippe Mateta's strike, and it wasn’t long before Ayew made it worse for Frank Lampard’s Everton side.
