Jesurun Rak-Sakyi crowned his season with Crystal Palace's U23 team as the Player of the Season following an outstanding campaign in the Premier League II.

The 19-year-old English-born Ghanaian finished the season as joint top scorer with Manchester City's James McArtee, helping the Eagles place fifth.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi received his accolade at the club's end of the season award show in South London at the Boxpark.

"It's been a great season, not just for me but the whole team. I'm very thankful. It's been great [training with the first-team]," Rak-Sakyi said as quoted by cpfc.com.
"It's been my best season so far. I've been working so hard this season and am grateful for everyone who's helped me."

Rak-Sakyi was named the Premier League II player of the month in February and has since been training with the first team.

Manager Patrick Vieira was full of praise for the exciting winger.

“He’s a young, talented player and we have to work with him to try to help him," he said.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi plays for England's U21 but the Ghana Football Association are trying to convince him to play for Ghana.

Rak-Sakyi set to switch international allegiance to play for Ghana

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Crystal Palace winger Jerusan Rak-Sakyi is ready to meet with the Ghana Football Association to discuss an international allegiance switch, it has emerged.

The 19-year-old was born in London to Ghanaian parents but has played three games for England U-20 team, scoring one goal.

He made his goalscoring debut for the U20s during a 6–1 victory over Romania U20s at St. George's Park.
