  • Allan Saint-Maximin has completed more take-ons (128) than any other player in Europe's top five leagues this season.
  • The above statistics comes as little surprise considering the Frenchman's knack and hunger for cruising past defenders as if they never exist
  • He added another moment of magic to his already action-packed highlight reel of mesmeric dribbling in Newcastle United's recent Premier League fixture

French winger Allan Saint-Maximin is known for his bewitching set of skills which leaves defenders and supporters enraptured with his pure football artistry.

Saint-Maximin on Wednesday evening pulled a rabbit out of the hat once again in a Premier League game against Crystal Palace.

The 25-year-old attacker produced a jaw-dropping moment in the game when he produced a complex if not overzealous set of leg-overs in a manner which appeared as if he was dancing with the ball.

His act of sheer showboating garnered the most attention in the match with a footage of his skill going viral which got ex-Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips talking.

Aside from Saint-Maximin showboating, Newcastle chalked a vital one-nil victory over Palace as the Magpies continue their renaissance since the start of the year which has catapulted them out of the relegation drop zone to a respectable 11th position.

The Frenchman has completed 128 successful dribbles in the English top-flight this campaign.

Of all the players in the Premier League, Saint-Maximin has completed 45 more dribbles than any other player.

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe believes Saint-Maximin has 'long term' future with the Magpies

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Newcastle manager Eddie Howe said Allan Saint-Maximin does have a "long-term future" at the Premier League strugglers.

The French winger has not scored since January and there have been reports Newcastle could be willing to sell the 25-year-old come the end of the season as the Magpies bid to remain in the Premier League.

But he has proved popular with supporters at St James' Park, with the club seven points clear of the relegation zone ahead of Friday's match at home to Wolves.
