Goals from Antonio Rudiger, Ngolo Kante and Christian Pulisic were enough to see off Brendan Rodgers men, who did not look like they were up to the task against the runaway leaders.

Coming off a disappointing 1-1 draw against Burnley before the international break, the Blues were in top gear for most of the game at the King Power Stadium.

How it happened

Chelsea were heavy favourites going into the game, having played some impressive football so far this season going into the Leicester clash.

It only took 14 minutes for Tuchel’s side to open the scoring as Antonio Rudiger’s continued his habit of scoring against The Foxes with a glancing header from a corner.

Ngolo Kante then made it 2-0 in stunning fashion, as he struck a powerful shot from the edge of the box after being allowed to run at least 30 yards without any pressure from the opposition.

Another former Leicester star, Ben Chilwell, should have put the game beyond doubt in the first half as he found himself one on one with the keeper but his effort grazed over the bar.

Leicester were much improved in the second half as they provided more attacking threat, with keeper Edouard Mendy coming up with a fine save to keep out a long range shot from Daniel Amartey.

Jamie Vardy also headed over the bar from close range.

Chelsea also had chances to stretch the lead in the second half, with Chilwell and Callum Hudson Odoi both going close.

The third goal would eventually come from Christian Pulisic, who finished expertly from a Hakim Ziyech cross to mark his return from injury with a goal.

All three points at the King Power ensured Chelsea went six points clear at the top, at least temporarily.
