Pereira for Mount at Chelsea?

Reports now claim that Chelsea have embarked on an elaborate plan to find a replacement for Mount.

According to ESPN, Fulham's Pereira is among the names being considered by the club’s recruitment team to replace their star midfielder.

While Pereira is understood to be happy at Craven Cottage, he is unlikely to turn down the opportunity of playing in Europe.

However, the Blues will have to contend with competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid in their pursuit of signing the Brazilian.

Pereira has enjoyed an incredible campaign with the Cottagers, scoring two goals and registering six assists so far.

What Potter, Chelsea must fix

Sports Brief previously reported on the things Potter needs to fix at Chelsea to save his job, as he faces arguably the greatest test of his career in keeping the sinking Blues afloat.

Talks have been rife that managing a 'top-six' English club came a tad too soon for a manager who had shown so much promise at Ostersunds and at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Potter has learned that excellent performances without results no longer cut it, and his favourite excuse of the 'players gave everything' after a loss does not sit well with the fans.
