Former Premier League star William Gallas has named two Chelsea stars who he believes do not have the quality to play for the club.

Chelsea have endured a disastrous run of form this term, with the club struggling to get favourable results.

This is despite the club's massive expenditure last summer and during the January transfer window when a number of players moved to Stamford Bridge.

According to Football London, Chelsea signed as many as eight players in January, with Mykhailo Mudryk and Enzo Fernandez among the top players to link up with the 2021 Champions League winners.

Mudryk, Cucurella don't have the quality

Gallas, who spent more than five years at Stamford Bridge, has now singled out two players who he contends lack the quality to play for Chelsea.

According to the Frenchman, Marc Cucurella and Mykhailo Mudryk do not have what it takes to put on the famous blue shirt for the west Londoners.

"Mudryk doesn’t start, why is that!? Maybe the boy is not ready, or the system doesn’t fit him, and he wants to play a different position – I don’t know," Gallas told Genting via Metro UK.
"He (Cucurella) is not even in the Spanish national team! So maybe Chelsea is too big for him, maybe he doesn’t have that quality to be there," the Frenchman continued.

Both Cucurella and Mudryk have had their fair share of struggles at Stamford Bridge, with Metro UK reporting that the latter has had little to no impact in his first five games for the club.

Chelsea fans slam Potter

Sports Brief previously reported on fans slamming Potter for not watching Kai Havertz retake a penalty after the German hit the foot of the post on his first attempt.

The English manager comes off as a soft personality who is relatively quiet on the touchline, but he has to be more vocal to help his team maintain the momentum.

Evening Standard reported the 47-year-old was more animated on the sidelines during the win over Leeds and showed more fight in the game against Dortmund.
