  • Chelsea have had a disastrous run of form in recent weeks across competitions, leaving Graham Potter under pressure
  • The Blues have won just eight of their 23 Premier League matches this season, with Potter taking charge of 17 of those fixtures
  • Chelsea's disappointing run has them occupying 10th place with 31 points, 11 points off a Champions League spot

Graham Potter has not had the brightest of starts at Stamford Bridge since he was appointed Chelsea boss back in September.

The Englishman has endured a frustrating run of form with the Blues across competitions, leaving the 47-year-old under immense criticism.

Potter has led the west Londoners in 17 Premier League matches, winning only five of those, with seven others ending in draws.

Chelsea's moment of truth came on Saturday when they were humbled 1-0 by bottom-placed Southampton at Stamford Bridge, with the result dealing them a massive blow in their bid to secure a European spot at the end of the season.

Potter replicating Brighton form at Chelsea

Incredible stats crunched by The Sun now show that Potter is actually replicating Brighton's form from last season at Stamford Bridge.

The tactician has posted almost identical results at Chelsea from what he had at Brighton after 23 Premier League games last season.

Chelsea currently sits tenth in the Premier League standings with a paltry 31 points, having won eight, drawn seven and lost eight fixtures.

The Blues have scored just 23 goals in the process and conceded 23.

By comparison after the same number of games under Potter, in Brighton's 2021-22 campaign, the Seagulls had seven wins, 12 draws and four defeats.

At the time, the side, who sat ninth in the standings, had scored 25 goals and conceded 23 goals to rack up 33 points.

Thiago Silva wife sparks reactions

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Thiago Silva's wife has sparked reactions on social media after she 'liked' a tweet blasting Chelsea boss, Graham Potter as a 'tactless' manager.

Potter has come under immense criticism from the fans in recent weeks, with some demanding for his sacking.

The former Brighton boss has led the Blues to a frustrating run of results across competitions, winning just two of their last 14 Premier League outings.
