According to The Sun, Chelsea is currently having one of their poorest seasons in recent years, with goalless draws against Liverpool and Fulham all they have to show for so far despite their spending spree during the January transfer window.
Enrique targeted to replace Potter
Reports in Spain now suggest that Chelsea could move for Enrique should they decide to get rid of Potter.
Fichajes claims that Potter is under pressure to turn things around, with the Blues eyeing another manager as a possible replacement.
While Potter's job is understood not to be under immediate risk, the publication asserts that Enrique is someone the club are following closely.
The former Barcelona boss is currently out of a job having stepped down as the Spain national team boss after the 2022 World Cup.
Enrique quit his role after La Roja's underwhelming campaign in Qatar where they crashed out of the round of 16 after a defeat to minnows Morocco.
Chelsea eyeing Oliver Glasner
Earlier, Sports Brief reported Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner has reportedly emerged as the firm favourite to take over from Graham Potter if Chelsea sacks the Englishman.
Potter has found himself on the receiving end in recent weeks following the Blues' frustrating run of form.
Reports claim that the Blues initially made contact with the Austrian while hunting for a successor to Thomas Tuchel before they eventually settled on Potter.
Glasner has enjoyed a significant rise to prominence after impressing since his arrival at Eintracht Frankfurt back in 2021.
