  • Hakim Ziyech failed to finalize a deadline-day transfer to Paris Saint-Germain
  • Chelsea and PSG had verbally agreed to a loan move until the end of the season for the Moroccan
  • However, Chelsea failed to send the necessary paperwork on time before the deadline

Hakim Ziyech and Paris Saint-Germain will be seething with anger after a deadline-day move for the winger collapsed.

Ziyech was all set to swap London for Paris with an initial loan deal until the end of the season, but the move crumbled at the last minute due to a 'paperwork' error.

It is now being reported that PSG blame Chelsea for the failed move and intend to file a complaint to be allowed to finish the transfer after the deadline.

Wrong paperwork

As the Athletic reports, Chelsea is accused of sending the wrong paperwork three times in a clear effort to sabotage the deal from happening. Ziyech had already flown to Paris to finalize the deal only to be left stranded by his current club.

The Blues were at the same time working hard to push the Enzo Fernandez deal over the line. The club finally agreed on a British record fee to sign the Argentina midfielder.

Ziyech has blown hot and cold during his time at Chelsea after arriving from Ajax. The club had initially granted his request to allow him to leave for PSG. Chelsea have been busy in the transfer market with Noni Madueke a prime candidate to play in the right wing.

The 29-year-old had a lot of offers including from Everton and AS Roma but decided on PSG.

Cucurella's reaction to Jorginho leaving

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Chelsea full-back Marc Cucurella could not quite believe it when he was informed Jorginho was on the verge of joining Arsenal from the West Londoners.

After missing out on Moises Caicedo, Arsenal turned to the next best thing – Jorginho, who is set to sign a deal that will keep him at the Emirates for 18 months.

Everything is all but done in terms of turning Jorginho into an Arsenal player, and he was pictured in an Arsenal shirt on transfer deadline day.
