Chelsea have a whole starting XI out injured, a group that appears to be better than the team Graham Potter has been able to deploy on the field during their recent run of poor form.

Potter's men seem to be getting close to some daylight after picking up four points in their last two games, as well as not playing again until February 3 when the Blues welcome some injured stars back.

Summer signing from Manchester City, Raheem Sterling is gearing up for a return from the injury he sustained against his former club, in the Blues' 1-0 Premier League loss, as reported by Goal.

Sterling rocks new hairstyle

The England international keeps a full hair and on many occasions makes different styles of plaits or dreads with it. Ahead of his return from injury, he is sporting an African-styled plait of his hair, as revealed on his Twitter handle.

Fans react to Sterling's hairystyle

According to reports from Sports Illustrated, Chelsea have completed the signing of Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig, and Sterling's recent appearance has been likened to that of the French star.

Twitter user @Otulala001 replied to the tweet suggesting Sterling thought he was Nkunku.

Another user @henry91170 warned Sterling would spend time on the bench if he failed to step up his performances.

''You better start scoring goals and performing better or else you gon say no bench bro . Welcome back''

The reactions were capped by a Man City and a Liverpool fan respectively, who revealed the star was missed at their clubs in varying ways.

@MrCharlesGill replied:

''You probably still regret leaving Liverpool. You would have become a legend of the game!.'

Sterling will face more competition for a first-team place, after the recent acquisitions of Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke, as well as the loan signing of João Felix.

Sterling celebrates son's birthday

Sports Brief earlier reported on Sterling celebrating his son's birthday, weeks after his house was burgled while he was on duty with England at the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Jewellery worth £300,000 was stolen at his house and he rushed home to make sure his family was safe, leading to him missing the Three Lions 3-0 win over Senegal.

The former Liverpool star has two sons with his current partner and a daughter from a previous relationship, as revealed by the Sun.
