A section of Chelsea fans has urged Cristiano Ronaldo to consider moving to Stamford Bridge after his Man United exit.

The veteran forward is due to leave Old Trafford after the Red Devils terminated his contract early.

United ripped apart Ronaldo's deal with seven months left on it, just days after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

During the interview, the 37-year-old took issue with the top leadership at the Theatre of Dreams and openly admitted he has no respect for United boss Erik ten Hag.

Ronaldo and ten Hag have not had the best of relationships in recent weeks, with the Dutchman banishing CR7 from the first team after he stormed off the pitch before the full-time whistle against Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea fans want Ronaldo

While it still remains to be seen where Ronaldo will move next, some Chelsea fans have taken the earliest opportunity to beg the forward to join them.

The fans took to social media, urging the Blues to seal the transfer of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, shortly after United confirmed his imminent departure.

One said:

"Come to Chelsea Ronny."

A second posed:

"Cristiano Ronaldo to Chelsea, who says no?"

Another reckoned:

"Cristiano Ronaldo to Chelsea is happening, you saw it here first."

While a fourth claimed:

"Ronaldo to Chelsea? Every Chelsea fan will love it, and I think we deserve it."

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Cristiano Ronaldo has had his say, after Manchester United terminated his contract with seven months left.

The former Real Madrid superstar has now said he is out to seek a new challenge after departing Old Trafford.

In a statement released by the Portuguese star, the 37-year-old maintained he still has a strong affection for Man United and the fans.
