  • Marc Cucurella was in the spotlight for his hilarious defending against Granit Xhaka at Stamford Bridge
  • Cucurella remained rooted to the spot as a Bukayo Saka's corner kick went past him, only to be turned in for an Arsenal goal
  • The goal was the difference maker as Chelsea recorded back-to-back Premier League defeats, after last week's humiliation at Brighton

Marc Cucurella's difficult season at Chelsea continued after he was found culpable of Arsenal's winner against Chelsea on November 6.

Chelsea welcomed Arsenal to Stamford Bridge and despite the visitors dominating proceedings, they only got one goal scored by Gabriel Magalhaes.

Graham Potter's side appeared out of sorts as Arsenal went back to the top of the Premier League table. The Chelsea squad put on a lethargic display, with Cucurella getting criticised for his role in Arsenal's goal.

The Spanish defender started his stint at Chelsea brilliantly but has recently found himself constantly under fire. He has been hooked off several times before the completion of 90 minutes.

Against Arsenal, he was tasked with marking Granit Xhaka as Bukayo Saka went to take a corner kick. A video doing rounds online spotted by Sports Brief shows Cucurella hugging Xhaka tight as the ball is swung in.

Cucurella remains motionless as the ball whizzes past him and every other Chelsea defender, to leave Gabriel with a tap-in from close range. A different angle has shown that Xhaka had the 24-year-old in an arm lock to prevent him from moving.

Arsenal fan 'hides' among Blues

Sports Brief has also reported that an Arsenal fan has gone viral after hiding in the Chelsea end, during their Premier League trip to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, November 6.

The match ended in a 1-0 win for the Gunners, with Gabriel Martinelli scoring the winning goal in the 65th minute of the clash.

The victory was enough to help Mikel Arteta's men reclaim the top spot on the standings with 34 points.
