Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had a disastrous performance against his former side, Arsenal.

The Blues produced an ordinary performance as the Gunners outplayed them for most of the match to register a deserved 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge.

The 33-year-old striker was looking to get back at his team, but it ended up being a dreadful day for the Gabonese striker who joined Chelsea this past summer.

Aubameyang unceremoniously left the Gunners in January after falling out with Mikel Arteta, who took away the captain's armband from the striker, according to Sky Sports.

Arsenal fans troll Aubameyang

Arsenal fans decided to have a go at Aubameyang on social media after he was hooked off just after the hour mark. As he came off, there was a chorus of boos for the former Gunner.

The former Barcelona striker had just eight touches before being subbed. He struggled to make an impact, and nothing could make Gunners fans happier, according to Bleacher Report.

One fan took a jibe at Aubameyang, who was caught on video bashing Mikel Arteta.

"Auba had 8 touches in 60mins against the "kids that only listen" ."

Another added that Aubameyang was all talk this past week but failed to turn up.

"I had second hand embarrassment for Auba today. For Gabriel and Saliba to treat him like that after all the talking he did last week was borderline disrespectful."

Others laughed at Aubameyang's touches.

"Cheers for the 5 touches Auba "

Some Arsenal fans said Arteta was right in selling the former Gabon striker.

"Not the first time Arteta has been peeved at Auba arriving late."
"Auba late again. Always seems to be the issue with him."

Some aimed subtle digs at the striker.

"Auba 100% still loves Arsenal."

Others added that selling the former Borussia Dortmund star was the right decision.

"Paying off Auba was the best thing we’ve done since buying Thierry from Juventus. He’s so easy to play against, he’s weak, can win duels, can’t link up, can’t strike a ball. Saliba-Gabriel will never have a easier game in the season."

Aubameyang warns Arsenal

Sports Brief earlier reported on Aubameyang sending a warning to Arsenal before they played Chelsea on Sunday 6th, November.

The 33-year-old said he relishes facing his former club, with a subtle message that he now plays for the Blues.

"Arsenal, nothing personal. I'm back, I'm blue, I'm ready. Let's go."
