Chelsea have announced Graham Potter as the club's new manager following the sack of Thomas Tuchel.

Potter replaces German trainer Thomas Tuchel, who was shown the exit door in the wake of a disappointing 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb.

The 47-year-old Potter, who last coached Brighton, penned a five-year deal with the Blues as he takes over the reins at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea reach verbal agreement with Graham Potter to replace Thomas Tuchel as head coach

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Chelsea has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Brighton and Hove Albion manager Graham Potter as the replacement for Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel was shown the exit door on the back of a stuttering start to the season, which continued in a shock 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.

Following the 49-year-old's sacking, the club's top brass, led by Todd Boehly, set their sights on Brighton boss Graham Potter.
