Footage of Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel reacting to a banner at Stamford Bridge eulogizing him has resurfaced on the internet.

Supporters of the London-based club opted to show their trust and affection for the German tactician in the most profound way ahead of a Premier League encounter against Leicester City last season.

Since his appointment in January 2021, the former Paris Saint-Germain manager has won three trophies for the west Londoners - Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup - with his efforts duly recognised by the fanbase.

In a video posted on Twitter, sighted by Sports Brief, the 48-year-old Tuchel gave the warmest of reactions to his Chelsea banner which was unveiled by the supporters during the club's 1-1 draw with Leicester City last season.

The heartwarming gesture was organised by supporter group 'WeAreTheShed' which saw the banner on display in the Shed End at Stamford Bridge before kick-off.

The banner read 'Deutscher Maestro' with a picture of the Blues head coach.

In an interaction with Chelsea TV, Tuchel expressed his gratitude to the supporters: "I saw the banner. I was looking at Mason's banner, I didn't see that I had a banner. It's fantastic, thank you very much for that. It's unbelievable, the first time, very happy about it."

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has received backing from the unlikeliest of sources after former Manchester United captain Roy Keane rooted for him.
