English Football League giants Aston Villa are reportedly planning to sign Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham before transfer deadline day.

The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at relegated Swansea City - scoring five goals in 31 appearances for the club.

He joined the Stamford Bridge outift as a youngster in 2004 and made his senior debut for the Blues in the 2015-16 under former boss Guss Hiddink.

His arrival at the Villa park is expected to strengthen Steve Bruce's attack owing to his goal scoring ability.

Two seasons back, Abraham scored 23 goals in 40 appearances for Bristol City in the lower league but wasn't too impressive for the Swans last term.

The England international is yet to feature in any Maurizio Sarri's games in the Premier League this season as they maintain 100% win at the start of the season.

He was part of their preseason squad and has also been training with the team's senior team but seem surplus to requirement at the Stamford Bridge and will now be offloaded to the EFL side.
