Having lost three senior players already in the shape of Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, and Romelu Lukaku, the west Londoners are desperate to bring in new legs to help them challenge for titles next season.

According to Sky Sports, the former European champions are now on the verge of adding Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly within their ranks, with the Senegalese reportedly in London for his medical.

But they will not be wrapping up their transfer business with just two signings as more are expected to join.

TalkSPORT claims Tuchel's side will step up their interest in Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe and are hopeful of signing former player Nathan Ake from Man City.

Bayern Munich wingman Serge Gnabry has also been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

Should Chelsea land the signing of Ake, Kimpembe, and Gnabry, they will be in a position to parade a frightening XI next term.

Edouard Mendy will undoubtedly keep his place between the sticks, with Koulibaly partnering Kimpembe and Ake at the heart of defence.

Koulibaly is understood to have jetted into London to complete his medical ahead of a summer move.
