  • Neymar could be playing in the Premier League next season as Chelsea are said to be in pole position to sign the Brazilian
  • The forward has endured a difficult time at the Parc des Princes as club fans booed him following their exit from the Champions League
  • With Mauricio Pochettino expected to leave PSG, new sporting director Luis Campos hopes to steer the club in a new direction

English Premier League side Chelsea are said to be the leading club to earn Neymar’s signature ahead of the coming season.

The Brazilian superstar has not been too impressive at French club Paris Saint-Germain as he was subjected to jeers and boos following their shocking exit from the Champions League last season.

SPORTbible reports that Mauricio Pochettino is billed to leave his position as manager of the club and new sporting director Luis Campos will lead the French champions to do serious business in the transfer window.

The former Barcelona star is reportedly willing to continue with the Parisians and possibly win the Champions League with them after joining in 2017 in a world record £198 million deal.

The Brazilian was signed to become the leading man, but he has failed to inspire the club to Champions League glory, although they came close in 2020 reaching the final before losing to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

GOAL reports that Neymar’s poor form and attitude are giving PSG officials serious concerns and they are looking to offload him.

Also, his relationship with Mbappe is sour and now that the Frenchman has extended his contract with the club, it could be time for Neymar to move on.

According to Sky Bet, Chelsea are currently 7/1 favourites to sign the Brazilian following the exit of Romelu Lukaku who is heading to Inter Milan on loan.

Herrera compares Messi with Ronaldo

Sports Brief earlier reported that Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Ander Herrera has disclosed that Lionel Messi is still capable of scoring 50 goals or more in a season.

Herrera understands that the Argentine has struggled since his move from Spanish club Barcelona to PSG, but believes the multiple Ballon d’Or winner will shine in the next campaign.

According to Herrera, Messi is just like Ronaldo, who has proven over time that age is nothing but a number following an impressive season for Manchester United, All Soccer reports.
