Leicester City held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw at the Stamford Bridge on Thursday night as the Blues confirm their third position in this season's English Premier League.

The Foxes stunned the entire stadium in the 6th minute after Maddison had put the visitors ahead to set up a tantalizing encounter.

Marcos Alonso however smashed the ball home to level the scores in the 34th minute as the Blues responded in spectacular fashion to seal third spot position.

SunSport reports that the Spaniard met the volley first time excellently, firing the ball past Schmeichel with a sensational technique.

Leicester came close to restoring their lead in the 55th minute when Maddison combined with Iheanacho and the Nigerian went for glory but sent an effort flying high and wide.

That was Leicester's second shot all game. Not an encouraging stat for Foxes fans but they kept pressing in for the lead yet again.

Pulisic would have won it for the hosts in the 62nd minute but the American fluffed his line to the nth degree, scuffing his effort wide from 5 yards. That was the definition of a sitter.

It ended; Chelsea 1-1 Leicester City.

Ten Hag to attend Man Utd vs Leicester City

Meanwhile, Manchester United are set to begin a new era under new manager, Erik ten Hag after a disastrous campaign that will see the Red Devils finish with their lowest points tally in the league.

The Dutch manager has agreed a deal to tutor the 13-time English Premier League champions and transform them into title contenders again.

Erik ten Hag will be in attendance when Manchester United travels to face Crystal Palace in the final game of the English Premier League season on Sunday, May 22.

Liverpool rejects chance to stay in EPL

Sports Brief earlier reported that Liverpool are set to lose the services of Divock Origi when the Belgian striker’s contract runs out at the end of the season.

The 27-year-old has decided to end his 7-year stint with the Reds to seek more playing opportunities elsewhere after failing to pin down a starting shirt at Liverpool.

Divock Origi has now agreed to personal terms with AC Milan, turning down the possibility to stay in the Premier League in order to join the Seria A club.
