John Terry Sends Chelsea Urgent Message Ahead of FA Cup Final

  • John Terry has won the FA Cup five times with Chelsea as a player
  • The former Chelsea defender is confident the Blues can upset Liverpool in the final at Wembley
  • Liverpool, who are in the hunt for a quadruple, are slight favorites to win the trophy

Chelsea legend John Terry has sent a message to Thomas Tuchel ahead of the crunch FA Cup final against Liverpool.

The FA Cup remains the final piece of silverware left to win for the Blues, who have recently had extremely poor luck at Wembley in cup finals.

Notably, this is the second domestic cup final where Chelsea have been pitted against the Reds, with the other one being in the Carabao Cup earlier in the season where Liverpool triumphed comprehensively.

“Good Luck @chelseafc. Liverpool are a top team and have shown that all season, but if anyone can WE CAN, we need everyone to a man today to produce when it really matters, that’s what we, you have done for years in these big finals.” Terry said.

Terry is no stranger to domestic success as a player, with most of it coming during his Chelsea playing days.

He is a five-time Premier League winner and has won the FA Cup five times as well, with his latest triumph coming in 2012.

Tuchel on Chelsea’s chances

Speaking prior to the FA Cup final, Tuchel refused to be drawn to the narrative that winning the oldest cup competition in England would be the only way Chelsea’s season would be considered a success.

“I wouldn't get carried away and say we have to win it. We will try everything, and it changes a lot if you play a final or win a final, I can tell you. We will do everything to be happy with ourselves and that we leave everything out there on the pitch.” The gaffer said.
