Premier League legend John Terry has questioned Chelsea's decision to allow one of the club's top performers to exit the club.
The five-time Premier League winner could not come to terms following news which broke about the imminent departure of Antonio Rudiger at the end of the season.
This comes off the back of Chelsea's one-nil win over West Ham United, where Blues boss Thomas Tuchel confirmed that the German centre-half will depart from the Stamford Bridge.
In a post on Instagram, spotted by Sports Brief, John Terry quizzed 'how have we let this man go' in a reaction to Sky Sports' earlier news that Rudiger will be leaving Chelsea.
Rudiger and Chelsea have been locked in contractual talks which hit a brick wall following the sanctions imposed on the defending European Champions, a ripple effect of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
High-profile clubs have lined up for the signature of Rudiger with Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona all queueing up for the former Roma defender.
But it appears Real Madrid has stolen a march on the aforementioned clubs, with the Los Blancos reportedly agreeing to personal terms with Antonio Rudiger, whose contract with Chelsea expires in the summer.
