Ghanaian Business Mogul Interested in Buying Chelsea Reveals Reason for Withdrawing from Bid

Ghanaian business mogul, Bernard Antwi Boasiako has disclosed that Chelsea's debt forced him to pull out of the bid to buy the club.

Chairman Wuntumi, as he is popularly known in Ghana revealed his lawyers and financiers start the process of purchasing the club before getting disinterested along the way.

In an interview with Zion Felix, he stated buying Chelsea became a wrong option because as a business man entering into such a deal will be unprofitable.

"I really wanted to buy Chelsea, I was interested but there was a little challenge and there were many people who had entered the bid with over 200 shortlisted. It was pruned to five and I was a part of it," he said.
"However, after my lawyers and financiers met the agents involved in the trading of Chelsea, we realized the club was owing Abramovich 1.5 billion pounds and there are government sanctions on him. We have no idea when that will be dropped and so after our calculations we realize it was unprofitable."

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that a Ghanaian politician and businessman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako has thrown himself into the fray as one of the people interested in buying Chelsea.

The business magnate revealed his intentions of bring Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Vinicius Jnr together at the London club.

In an interview with Kumasi-based Radio station Wuntumi FM, the chairman of NPP in the Ashanti Region stated his intention of acquiring the club.

Ghanaian businessman and politician Bernard Antwi Boasiako has revealed an ambitious plan of signing Manchester United talisman Ronaldo and PSG superstar Messi after submitting an official bid to announce his intention of buying Chelsea.

Antwi Boasiako, affectionately called Chairman Wontumi earlier made claims of purchasing the reigning FIFA Club World Cup champions, which has been put on sale by its beleaguered Russian owner Roman Abramovic.

According to a post on Twitter, sighted by Sports Brief, the business mogul has made a statement of intent in owning Chelsea.
