Chelsea stars reportedly pocketed an eyewatering £10million for beating rivals Man City to win this season's Champions League title.

The Blues stunned Pep Guardiola's men by a solitary goal at Estadio do Dragao on the night of Saturday, May 29, to cart home the prestigious European title.

SunSport now reports Chelsea stars' triumph in Europe will see them bank an eyewatering KSh 15 billion as a bonus.

The publication revealed the bonus was agreed at the start of the season when nobody gave the Stamford Bridge dwellers any hope of winning the coveted silverware.

It is understood Thomas Tuchel's wards had already earned a tasty £5m (about KSh 7.5 billion) wind after getting past Madrid earlier in the month, before adding a similar amount to their pockets for stunning Man City.

Reacting to the victory in Porto, Tuchel was full of praise for his stars, hailing them for their determination after beating all odds to emerge European champions.

"It is unbelievable. What a fight. We made it 1-0. You could feel it getting closer. The players were determined to win this," the German said.
"We wanted to be a stone in their shoe, the stone in the clockwork of Manchester City. We encourage everybody to step up and step out, to be braver and create dangerous counter-attacks. It was a tough physical game. We had to help each other out," he added.
