The Blues were unable to keep City at bay at the Etihad Stadium as Pep Guardiola's men secured a 1-0 crucial win to stretch their lead at the top to 13 points.

Kevin de Bruyne was the match hero for the English champions as his second-half stunner secured the crucial win for the Citizens.

Chelsea were completely dominated against by City as they were able to register just one shot on target during the encounter.

Lukaku, who started up front for the west Londoners cut an isolated figure for the better part of the match as he struggled to link up with Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic.

While taking stock of the tie, Tuchel slammed his side's attacking display as he singled out Lukaku for losing balls "in very promising circumstances."

"Sometimes he needs to do the service. I think he’s included," Tuchel said when asked if Lukaku was getting the service he needs.
"He had many ball losses without any pressure, many ball losses in very promising circumstances. He had a huge chance – so he’s included in this," he added.

Despite the defeat, Chelsea remain second on the log with 43 points, only one ahead of third-placed Liverpool who have two matches in hand.

Chelsea star leaves Stamford Bridge

Earlier, Sports Brief reported forgotten Chelsea star Lewis Baker has finally left Stamford Bridge after 17 years with the Blues.

Baker's 17-year career with the Blues has come to an end after the midfielder moved to Stoke City.

The 26-year-old joined the west Londoners when he was aged just nine, making his bow for the senior team in 2005.

However, he had to wait until 2020 for his second and last appearance for Chelsea before his switch to Stoke.
