Wanyama, through his foundation, announced that the 14 students from across the country would be given the chance to pursue their dreams by advancing their education at secondary level.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Victor Wanyama foundation announced seven girls and six boys would be granted the scholarship in some of the most prestigious schools in the country.

“Congratulations to the Second group of Victor Wanyama Foundation Beneficiaries. We wish them all the best as they continue with their studies,” the statement read.
"On behalf of the foundation I am very delighted to see the kids head to school. This is a critical stage in their lives and we are happy to play a part in molding their future and that of their families,” Wanyama, a UN ambassador, also said via his personal social media accounts.

Among the schools the students are set to join include Alliance High School, Precious Blood Secondary School, Kisumu Girls High School and Asumbi Girls.

This is the second batch of students who are set to benefit from the Victor Wanyama foundation after a similar initiative saw 10 students become the first beneficiaries of the inaugural scholarship program.

Currently, Wanyama’s foundation is registered as a non-profit company limited by guarantee and primarily focuses on health, education, sports environment and wildlife.
