Ajax Amsterdam have sent a get well soon message to former striker Sebastien Haller after he was diagnosed with testicular cancer.

The Ivory Coast forward left Borussia Dortmund's pre-season camp in Switzerland to return back to Germany after he felt unwell during training.

In a message posted on social media, the Dutch Eredivisie champions wished Haller better health and hopes he comes back stronger.

Dortmund confirmed the forward return to Germany for further tests on Tuesday following the latest setback.

"This news today came as a shock to Sebastien Haller and to all of us," said BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl.
"We will do everything in our power to ensure that he receives the best possible treatment."

The prolific scorer joined Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window on a four-year deal from Ajax.

However, he has now been sidelined indefinitely as he goes through the necessary checks in a bid to comeback healthier.

Sebastien Haller has been diagnosed with testicular cancer

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Sébastien Haller’s and Borussia Dortmund have suffered a major blow ahead of the new season.

The Bundesliga side will be without their new striker, Haller, after the player was ruled out for an indefinite period.

As reported by ESPN, Haller left Dortmund’s training camp in Switzerland after feeling unwell.

Sébastien Haller isn’t letting his recent diagnosis get him down. The Borussia Dortmund striker pulled out of pre-season training after complaining that he was feeling unwell.

After undergoing further tests, he was diagnosed with a testicular tumour.

The Ivory Coast international has now opened up about the news and promised to come back stronger, The Mirror reported.
