Dream start for Thomas Tuchel

Tuchel bagged his first three points and got Bayern Munich to their birthright first position in only his maiden appearance as coach of the Bavarians.

The 49-year-old saw his side blaze past his former side in ruthless fashion, scoring three goals within 23 first-half minutes. Although his side will take their foot off the pedal in the second half, it was enough to seal a comprehensive 4-2 win.

For good measure, Bayern's craving for a treble this campaign is intact with Tuchel's first win.

Bayern regain their Bundesliga swagger

The Bavarians have played the German top flight literally with a cigar in their mouths, storming past teams with relative ease.

For context, they have won the last 10 Bundesliga titles and are on course to an 11th successive crown.

A tepid display in Julian Nagelsmann's final moments as manager saw Bayern struggle through games which was worsened by a languid loss to Leverkusen before the international break, effectively ensuring Bayern lost their invincibility.

But it appears Tuchel has restored Bayern's Bundesliga swagger.

Ageless Muller key to Tuchel

Muller's form has fluctuated over the past few months, but he was at his best in this game.

The German played effectively in his linkup, produced four chances, and never stopped moving.

He received a first-half brace as compensation for his strong performance.

Muller-style false nines are Tuchel's favourite to use, and it may be the beginning of a good streak.

Tuchel doesn't lose his debut games

Tuchel has faced intimidating challenges at all his former clubs, and his task at Bayern Munich is no less of a challenge either, with some tough string of games.

But one thing is certain: Thomas Tuchel does not lose his first games at his new club.

In his first game in charge of Chelsea, the Blues had a bulk of the possession on the day, setting a club and division record, but could not break through as the game ended goalless against Wolves, per GOAL.

Tuchel's first match in charge at PSG also yielded his first honour at the club, as PSG defeated Monaco 4–0 to win the Trophée des Champions on August 4, 2018

He has now added Dortmund to his victim list.

Bayern continue Der Klassiker dominance

The Bavarians continued their overwhelming dominance over Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker.

Bayern continued their unbeaten run against Dortmund in the German version of the El Clasico, bagging their ninth win over their archrivals since 2019.

Saturday's clash at the Allianz Arena was the 108th Bundesliga meeting between the two giants, with Bayern obviously toppling Dortmund in the head-to-head record.
