Barcelona wonderkid, Gavi is attracting a lot of interest from top European teams following speculations that the Spanish midfielder could become a free agent in the summer.

The 18-year-old’s new Barcelona contract was recently rescinded by La Liga, throwing his long-term future at the club into jeopardy and opening the door for some of Europe’s top clubs to come in for his services.

According to the Tribuna, Bayern Munich are the latest club to indicate their interest in signing the talented Spanish midfielder as a free agent in the summer, if the Catalan club fails to sort out his contract situation.

If Barcelona still cannot reduce their wage bill enough to register Gavi, a clause in the midfielder's contract allows him to join a new club for free.

English Premier League sides, Manchester City and Liverpool are the two other clubs Bayern Munich will need to contend with for the 18-year-old's signature should he leave La Blaugrana.

Gavi not bothered about registration

Meanwhile, Gavi is not deterred by his contract situation and remains committed to the Barcelona despite the uncertainties surrounding his future, The Hard Tackle reports.

The Spanish midfielder is closing in on his first La Liga title with the Catalan giants who are currently enjoying a solid 12-point lead at the top of the league table over Real Madrid.

Barcelona were dealt a massive blow earlier in the month when a Spanish court overturned its decision to grant Gavi's first-team registration, after a complaint by the Spanish league.

Court rejects Barcelona’s Gavi appeal

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on talented midfielder, Gavi exiting Barcelona's first team after the club's appeal was reportedly rejected by the court.

La Liga had initially not given La Blaugrana the green light to register the 18-year-old in its XI after he had penned a new contract with the club.

The Spanish league body reportedly denied the deal because Barcelona were in excess of their spending limit, with the matter going the legal route.
