Bayern Munich player and legendary German footballer, Thomas Muller has been asked which player he prefers between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

The debate on who is the greatest of all time between the two veterans continues to rage on and the German has given his opinion on who he thinks is the better player.

During an interview in a video that has since gone viral on social media, Muller gave Ronaldo a slight edge over Messi as he picked his preferred candidate.

The Bayern Munich star revealed his decision for choosing the Portuguese striker is based on the fact he has a better record against the Argentine captain than his eternal rival.

Both Ronaldo and Messi are regarded as two of the best footballers to have played the sport, due to their numerous achievements both on and off the pitch.

Muller slams Bayern Munich’s creativity

Meanwhile, Muller has slammed his fellow Bayern Munich players for having no creative ideas, after their 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt, SB Nation reports.

The Bavarians looked firmly in control of a game, but that quickly vanished as Frankfurt equalised and saw the game ended a one-all draw.

It is now the third consecutive draw Bayern has had in the Bundesliga since the resumption of football after the 2022 FIFA World Cup, as they have failed to win any game since the restart.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Muller making a dramatic turnaround on his decision to retire from Germany's national team, following a disappointing World Cup tournament.

The 33-year-old forward had tendered his resignation from international football after Die Mannschaft crashed out in the group stages of the 2022 tournament.

Muller has now made a U-turn and decided to remain available for selection, should he be called upon for upcoming international fixtures or tournaments.
