Why Bayern sacked Tapalovic

As reported by Bild, noted by Sportskeeda, Tapalovic is said to have leaked information from Bayern's locker room to injured club captain, Neuer.

After discovering the goalkeeping trainer was relaying chats between staff members and Neuer, Nagelsmann was displeased and called for a brutal parting of ways.

Bayern's statement after Tapalovic's axing

"As our goalkeeping coach, Toni was involved in the successes of recent years,” Bayern sporting director, Hasan Salihamidzic said in an official statement. “We would like to thank him for that. Differences, particularly over the way we worked together, have now led to us going our separate ways. We wish Toni Tapalovic all the best for the future."

Tapalovic had stints at Schalke 04 and VfL Bochum during his playing career.

Bayern Munich signs Yann Sommer

Sports Brief earlier reported latest signing, goalkeeper Yann Sommer arriving at Bayern Munich ahead of his impending move to the German champions.

The shot-stopper was seen arriving at the club's car park with the rest of his representatives, ahead of his medicals with the Bundesliga champions.

According to Goal, after first-choice goalkeeper Neuer fractured his leg, Bayern Munich and Borussia Monchengladbach reached an €8-million agreement to sign Sommer.

He is expected to be a temporary solution to stem the Bavarians' goalkeeping crisis, at least until Neuer returns from being sidelined for the rest of the season.
