Footage of Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mané failing to control a pass has been making the rounds on the internet.

Mané, who swapped Liverpool for Bayern Munich this summer, is currently on international duty with reigning African champions, Senegal as they finetune their squad for the 2022 World Cup.

Despite his recent dip in form at the club level, the 30-year-old forward was on target for his nation as the Teranga Lions defeated Bolivia on Saturday evening.

Mané's goal from the penalty spot ensured the West African nation brushed aside Bolivia, who are winless in their last five games.

But what appears to be talking point from Senegal's pre-World Cup preparatory game against Bolivia was an awkward incident involving talisman Sadio Mané.

In a video posted on Twitter, seen by Sports Brief, the former Liverpool attacker who was trying to initiate an attack from the halfway line tripped after failing to control the ball.

The Senegal No.10 moved the ball forward a couple of times and appeared to have a change of plans when he tried to halt his run to locate a teammate however, his control was mistimed as the ball left him which led to his fall.

The incident has left social media users in stitches following Sadio Mane's Lukaku-like moment.

@TAALFC66 tweeted:

"Got attacked by a ghost, must of been Ronaldo."

@zAnxSZN could not help but laugh:

"Ahahahahah."

Another user @Salahiesta believes the incident is a sign Mane is nearing the end of his career:

Sadio Mané scores as Senegal brush aside Bolivia in pre-World Cup preparatory game

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane was on target for African champions Senegal as they strolled to victory against Bolivia in an international friendly in France on Saturday.

The 30-year-old forward converted from the spot to add to Boulaye Dia's early goal as Senegal tested their strength against the South American nation.

Senegal got off to a great start after Boulaye Dia broke the deadlock just four minutes into the match, meeting a pass from Pathe Ciss.
