Bayern Munich drop to fourth after a shock defeat by Augsburg

Reigning Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Augsburg on Saturday afternoon.

The defeat means the Bavarian giants are on a winless run in their last four games and drop to fourth place on the table behind Borussia Dortmund, SC Freiburg and Union Berlin.

Before the game, the six-time European champions were under severe pressure. This was escalated by the ferocity of an Augsburg team who refused to allow Julian Nagelsmann's team to get into their stride.
