As reported by the Daily Mail, cash, jewellery, and other valuables were stolen from Müller’s home while he was still playing at the Allianz Arena. Investigations are ongoing at that moment, and no suspects have been traced. The Oberbayern Sud police confirmed the news, adding that the value of items stolen were in the mid-six-figure range.

“Despite massive police searches, there is no trace of the burglars. The Miesbach detective is investigating,” the police said.

Müller is the latest in a string of footballers to be targeted by criminals. Recently, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and his family were robbed in his home in Spain while he was still a Barcelona player. The Chelsea star was also assaulted and even suffered injuries to his jaw due to the home invasion.

Marca also noted that thieves also tried to break into the home of Real Madrid’s Dani Carvajal at the beginning of September. Carvajal said that he believed footballers were easy targets for criminals because the suspects always knew when they would be away playing matches.
