  • Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann believes Sadio Mane will need time to adapt to life in Bayern Munich
  • The Senegal international was heavily criticised following his below-par performance against Barcelona last night
  • Sadio Mane signed for Bayern Munich for a reported fee of £35million from Liverpool in the summer

Sadio Mane is under severe pressure following another abysmal display during Bayern Munich's 2-0 victory over Barcelona on Tuesday night.

While Leroy Sane and Lucas Henandez were on target to secure the maximum points for the Bavarians at the Allianz Arena, Mane failed to make an impact in the game.

The former Liverpool forward was hooked off after 70 minutes for Serge Gnabry after he failed to register a single shot on goal against the Catalan giants.

In his post match interview, Naggelsmann said he was not pleased with the performance of Mane but believes the African Player of the Year will need more time to adapt.

"He put in so much for Liverpool," Nagelsmann said, quoted by Mirror Sports.
"He's a new signing. He just needs to adapt. He was trying. I'm certain he will succeed for us."
"Everything I need to say about Sadio, I'll say to him and not in the media. I already said during the week that I would like him to do certain things more.

Mane has been on a poor run of form for Bayern Munich, failing to score in his last four games for the German champions.

The Senegalese forward joined the reigning German champions for a reported fee of £35million from Liverpool in the summer.

Bayern Munich Fans Blast Sadio Mane for Poor Show Against Barcelona

Sports Brief earlier reported that Bayern Munich continued their supremacy over Barcelona with a 2-0 victory at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday evening, thanks to strikes from Lucas Hernandez and Leroy Sane.

However, new signing Sadio Mane struggled to impose his presence in the game and looked sluggish throughout.

The 2022 African Player of the Year has now extended his goal drought to four games, and some fans believe the 30-year-old is simply not the right fit for Bayern tactically.
