UEFA took the decision to reschedule some of the European fixtures this week due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

As noted on the organisation’s website, the game between Rangers and Napoli was moved from Tuesday, September 13 September to Wednesday, September 14, due to the limitations on police resources and organisational issues as a result of the events during the national mourning period in the United Kingdom.

Napoli fans will also not be authorised to attend the game in Scotland. In the interest of fairness, Rangers fans will not be permitted to attend the return leg in Italy.

The Europa League game between Arsenal and PSV Eindhoven, which was scheduled to take place on Thursday, 15 September, was also postponed. UEFA have yet to announce a new date for when the game will be played.

Robert Lewandowski fails to punish former employers Bayern Munich as German giants secure comfortable victory

Robert Lewandowski missed some brilliant chances to put Barcelona ahead against his former employers, Bayern Munich.

Lewandowski was first given a great chance when Manuel Neuer passed a ball short towards Dayot Upamecano, which he pounced on.

Lewandowski then blasted another attempt over the bar as he latched onto a long ball and beautiful controlled it before taking a shot. The former Bayern Munich man then had a hat-trick of missed chances as his third attempt was blocked by substitute Noussair Mazraoui.
