Barcelona’s coach admitted that there were a lot of expectations placed upon the team this season because of their success in the transfer window. He added that it would be a challenge to play Bayern but that it would be a huge achievement to win in Germany, BarcaBlaugranes reported.

“We are playing against one of the best teams in the world, against a great manager. We’ve changed a lot, we are in good form, and we want to show that.”

Julian Nagelsmann:

Bayern Munich’s manager is also ready for the challenge ahead. He stated that although they have enjoyed success against Barcelona in the past, they were a different team now, Football Espana reported.

“The impressions from our last four meetings against them do not count, it’s a completely different team,” he said.

Injury Concerns:

Bayern Munich:

Kingsley Coman and Bouna Sarr will both be unavailable for the game. The German giants have no other injury concerns going into the game.

Barcelona:

Barcelona, on the other hand, have a fully-fit squad for the encounter. Sergi Roberto missed out on the side’s last La Liga game through a slight muscular problem but has been included in the 25-man squad for the game against Bayern.

Players To Watch:

Robert Lewandowski:

The Polish striker returns to the Allianz Arena to take on the club where he became an international superstar. Lewandowski left Bayern on a bad note and expects a frosty reception from the fans.

Sadio Mane:

The Senegalese star has hit the ground running at Bayern as the Bavarian club. Mane has wasted little time in adapting to his new team and expects to continue his good form in the Champions League.
