Bayern Munich's perfect winning start to the Bundesliga season has come to an end.

The reigning German champions were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at home to Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday.

Before the game, the Bavarians have been in scintillating form this season, bagging goals across three wins, but they were met with a resolute goalkeeper Yann Sommer.

But a mistake by French defender Dayot Upamecano was pounced upon by his compatriot Marcus Thuram, whose cool finish looked like it might be enough to win the game.

Bayern threw everything at Gladbach in the second half, with most of it repelled by Swiss goalkeeper Sommer.

Leroy Sane delivered a powerful drive into the bottom corner with seven minutes remaining after being allowed too much space and time in the middle of the box to claim a point for Julian Nagelsmann's side.

Supercomputer Predicts Champions League Winner After Group Stage Draw

According to FiveThirtyEight's supercomputer, 14-time European champions Real Madrid will be knocked out in the quarter-finals, Sport Brief earlier reported.

The Algorithm permutates that German giants Bayern Munich will win the Champions League this season - their seventh in history.

Per the supercomputer, the semi-finalists will be made up of Bayern, Manchester City, PSG and Liverpool, which means there will be no place for Xavi Hernandez's Barcelona.
