The DFL SuperCup produced an eight-goal thriller on Saturday night as Bayern Munich took on RB Leipzig in the final.

The Bundesliga champions beat the DFB-Pokal champions 5-3 in a thrilling match.

Jamal Musiala, Sadio Mane, Benjamin Pavard, and Leroy Sane all grabbed the goals for Bayern, Marca reported. Leipzig did produce a fight, and with the score at 4-3, it looked like getting an equaliser.

Dani Olmo, who grabbed the side’s third goal, then produced a piece of skill that amazed football fans.

During the hunt for the equaliser, Leipzig had to give possession back to Bayern and Olmo do so very sneakily. The Spanish international carefully dribbled the ball to the touchline, ensuring that it didn’t go out.

Lucas Hernandez then picked up the ball, assuming it was a throw and was immediately penalised for committing a handball.

At first, Hernandez and the Bayern players weren’t sure why a freekick was given against them and protested the matter until the referee explained that the ball hadn’t gone out.

The footage of the incident has left fans amazed by Olmo’s intelligence and also left many in stitches.

Sadly the little piece of skill had no effect on the overall score, as Bayern went on to win 5-3 and claim their third SuperCup title in a row.

Bayern Munich were value for money in their game against RB Leipzig in the DFL SuperCup final.

The Bundesliga champions survived a late fightback against the DFB-Pokal champions, beating them 5-3.

19-year-old Jamal Musiala opened the scoring for Bayern in the 14th minute when he took advantage of some Leipzig uncertainty in the box and fired low into the bottom corner.
