German-born of Equatorial Guinea descent Noël Aséko Nkili has joined Bayern Munich from Hertha Berlin on a three-year contract.

The 16-year-old has joined the Bavarian ranks after they beat out competition from RB Salzburg for the youngster's signature.

He is expected to join the U-19 team before moving into the reserves team for next season.

Bayern's scout team have been monitoring the progress of Aséko Nkili for close to two years and are impressed with his enormous qualities.

He is expected to play an instrumental role with Bayern Munich's youth side from next season.

"I'm really looking forward to this big challenge at FC Bayern and can't wait to be on the pitch with my new team," Aséko Nkili said after completing his move.

Jochen Sauer, the head of the FC Bayern Campus, was clearly ecstatic to have completed the transfer:

"We've had Noel on our radar for a long time. He is an absolute top talent at his age group and in his position. We are all very happy to have convinced him of our development concept at FC Bayern," he said.

Noël Aséko Nkili played in the number six position for his former club Hertha Berlin. He is a prominent figure in the German youth teams, having played 11 matches for the Germany U-17 side.

Born in Berlin to Equatorial Guinean parents, Aséko Nkili missed out on the recent U-A7 Euros with an injury that ruled him out for two months.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian sensation Mike Wisdom has joined German champions Bayern Munich from Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Bavarians have been busy adding to their youth team over recent years, and Wisdom is the next youngster on the way to Allianz Arena.

The 13-year-old striker was also on the radar of Spanish powerhouse Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen following his wonderful performance at Monchengladbach academy.
