Bayern Munich’s hierarchy has categorically closed the door on any potential transfer of winger Michael Olise this summer, issuing a direct warning to Real Madrid and other interested European clubs that the player will not be sold under any circumstances.
According to French outlet L’Équipe, senior figures within the Bundesliga club’s administrative structure have privately confirmed that no offer, regardless of its size, would be entertained. One board member was unequivocal in their position: “There is no price for Olise. Even for €500m, he won’t leave.”
The stance had already been signalled earlier, when a Bayern executive indicated that even a bid of €200 million would be turned down immediately. The successive statements from within the club’s leadership leave little ambiguity over their intentions heading into the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old winger has justified that conviction with one of the most statistically dominant individual seasons in European football. Across 52 appearances in all competitions for Bayern Munich, Olise registered 22 goals and 31 assists — numbers that placed him among the most productive attackers on the continent.
His performances at club level also translated to the international stage. Born in London to a Nigerian father, Olise was previously eligible to represent Nigeria’s Super Eagles but committed his international future to France. He has since established himself as a key figure for Les Bleus, and his hat-trick in France’s 3-0 friendly victory over Scotland in Lille on Monday took his combined total for club and country to 60 direct goal contributions across the campaign.
It is that level of output that reportedly attracted the attention of Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez, while Paris Saint-Germain also monitored his situation closely. However, sources suggest PSG have stepped back from pursuing high-value individual signings this window, effectively leaving Real Madrid without a credible rival to drive negotiations — though Bayern’s position renders that point largely academic.
Olise joined Bayern Munich from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2024 for a reported fee in the region of €50 million, having previously developed through the Academy ranks at Chelsea and Manchester City before establishing himself in the Premier League. His rapid ascent since moving to Germany has been one of the defining transfer success stories of recent seasons.
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup now underway, Olise’s performances for France will keep him in the global spotlight throughout the summer. Bayern Munich’s insistence on retaining him signals their intent to build future ambitions around a player who, at 24, is likely still approaching his peak years.
