Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala seems stunned as Nigerian music superstar Davido rocked her Barcelona jersey in style as she praised the artiste on social media.
Both stars are said to be a fan of each other as the Nigerian footballer recently signed with a sports management headed by Davido's manager Asa Asika.
Oshoala wears the No.20 shirt for the Barcelona Femeni and it is believed that she had handed a replica of her jersey to the music icon.
On her latest Instagram story, the footballer expressed delight having seen her shirt on the music crooner and she captioned it ‘world’s best’.
And this is coming less than 7 months that striker Oshoala sought for Davido’s help as she was desperate to return home during the coronavirus outbreak.
The Nigerian, as well as Namibia’s Zenatha Coleman who plays for Valencia, raised an alarm that they would love to return home to spend time with their families as a result of the cancellation of the Spanish Primera Iberdrola at that time.
Oshoala contributed 26 goals in all competitions for Barcelona, including 20 in 19 league games to emerge as the league's second-highest scorer during the 2019-20 season.
The four-time African Women's Footballer of the Year winner, who observed the Ramadan fast in Spain, revealed she wanted to return home to join her family.
She wrote in Pidgin English:
"Abeg who get private jey wey him no dey use for now. Please comman carry me from Barcelona to Lagos, I want to go home."
Asisat then cheekily pleaded with music sensation Davido to lend her his private jet.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that barely three weeks after joining Atletico Madrid Femenino, Nigerian star Rasheedat Ajibade has already clinched her first career title.
The 21-year-old former FC Robo Queens star tasted action for just eight minutes in the game after coming on in the 82nd minute.
Although her introduction later on in the game didn't produce any goal, coach Dani Gonzalez's ladies already won the game from the opening half.
Two superb goals from Cameroon international Ajara Nchout and one from Deyna Castellanos powered Las Colchoneras to victory in the maiden edition of the cup competition.
