The January transfer window closes in two days, leaving Sporting very little time to get a deal done.

Barca's stance on Bellerin

The Spanish club are willing to let the player leave and will not offer him a contract extension, Barca Universal reported.

The club will look to sign a replacement at right-back but aren't keen on retaining the player's services.

Bellerin signs for Barcelona

As noted by ESPN, the player signed for Barcelona on a free transfer from Arsenal on the last day of the summer transfer window.

Bellerin's return to the Spanish club after such a long time away was seen as somewhat of a fairytale, but it didn't pan out as such. The Spanish defender has only made seven appearances for the club this season.

Fans torn about Bellerin's departure

Football fans are reacting to the news of Bellerin's possible departure, with some wondering what Barca saw in him in the first place.

Here's what Barcelona fans had to say:

@RonnieJnr97:

"His football disappeared with his hair. When he cut off the hair, even the football went."

@ghanayesu:

"As a Barca fan, I will love the team to keep Hector Bellerin and sell Ronald Araújo rather."

@isuccess_:

"As an honest Barcelona fan, I’d love it if Xavi blocks Hector Bellerín path to Sporting Lisbon."

@mr_nuamah1:

"They can even have him for free "

@aestheticsball1:

"It took Barca 2 months to realise he was mid? The Arsenal fans who thought Bellerin was the best thing since sliced bread honestly used to perplex me so much. I never understood it."

Bellering interested in joining Betis

Sports Brief previously reported that Hector Bellerin declared his love for La Liga side, Real Betis.

The defender, who signed for Barcelona from Arsenal, admitted that he was considering joining the Spanish club in the future.

The Spanish right-back spent a season on loan at Real Betis and fell in love with the city and team.
