Marca reports that the victim identified a crescent-shaped tattoo on Alves towards the lower waist. Alves is one of the most heavily inked footballers. It would even be fair to assume that he has a tattoo for every trophy he has won in his illustrious career.

Body Art Guru reports that the Brazilian has a tattoo on his chest written 'Daniel Jr' and another one on his abdomen written 'Victoria.' Daniel and Victoria are his children.

His right arm has the tattoo of his mother Duna Lucia while on the left side of his stomach is the name of his father Domingos Alves Da Silva written vertically.

On his left bicep is a seemingly religious tattoo whose arms are folded while on his right ankle is a tattoo of a famous cartoon character - Silverstere Loony Tunes.

On his chest, the 39-year-old has roman numerals which mean 09/06/2006. It remains unclear why the date is significant to Alves.

This list is not exhaustive as Alves has myriad tattoos of different types including one of Jesus Christ and a sign of the cross on his forearm. His belief and religion are further enhanced by the words "Dios es mi fuerza" which means "God is my strength."

What happened to Alves?

The most decorated footballer in history was provisionally detained in prison without bail after being accused of assaulting a lady in a Barcelona nightclub in December 2022.

Sports Brief reported that the 39-year-old defender was arrested by Spanish police on Friday, January 20, and has been remanded in prison after being heard by a judge.

Alves will be confined to prison until the outcome of his trial is determined after public prosecutors asked the presiding judge for Alves to be held in custody without bail for the duration of their investigation.
