Dembele Scores in Consecutive Games for Barca With Atletico Strike

The Metropolitano stadium has not been the happiest hunting ground for Barcelona in recent years, but Ousmane Dembele knows how to score there.

Barcelona have only won one of their last five encounters at the home of Atletico Madrid, losing two games and drawing two.

Dembele, though, is the only player in the current Barcelona squad to have scored at the stadium, as he netted during a 1-1 draw in 2018.

Dembele has now followed that up with a beautiful goal against Diego Simeone’s side in their latest La Liga fixture.

Dembele profited off some brilliant play between Pedri and Gavi as he put Barcelona ahead against the Madrid side.

The goal also meant that Dembele scored in consecutive games for the Blaugrana for the first time since April 2021. Dembele netted against FC Intercity in the Copa de Rey during the week before his goal against Atleti.
